Odessa National Medical University

Odessa National Medical University is one of the oldest universities in the Ukraine where its founded in 1900, was first known as a college before the Russian Revolution as the University “Novo Rosesk” Empire University, then transferred later to an independent university in 1922.

Since Ukraine gained independence in 1991 Odessa National Medical University has become one of the leading medical universities in the country.

The students enjoyed the level of education and training of specialists at the University global education standards, as well as the university’s membership in both unions, European and international universities.

Studying at university about six thousand students, including 1300 foreigners from 56 countries around the world, and foreigners are learning three languages: Russian, Ukrainian and English.

University teaching staff consists of 810 professors, of whom 407 doctoral degree campaign, and 105 campaign professorship professor.

In recent years it has been the establishment of a scientific and medical distinct units belonging to the University, including the Institute for Scientific Research in the field of dental stem cells, and the Institute for Scientific Research in the field of biophysics.

It also works at the university medical diagnostic centers in collaboration with the health authorities, including the surgery center minutes for the eyes, the center of pediatric cardiology, and laser surgery center.

The University has 12 educational building with a total area of ​​27.7 thousand square kilometers, where 608 hall and laboratory. University library contains about 800 thousand books.
